Creating tentacles in Photoshop CS [html]

A very simple technique.

Here's what the final result will look like.

Firstly, open photoshop. Click File > New > 400x400 (or other size).

Create a new layer. I named this one, tentacle.

Select an area similar to this.

Select your gradient tool.

With these settings,

Fill in an area similar to this:

Now click, Edit > Transform > Distort.

By dragging the bottom points on your tentacle, contort it to this shape.

Now click Filter > Distort > Shear, and with settings similar to the following, you can curve the tentacle. Note the preview window.

Click Ok. Duplicate the layer, and repeat.
